This Japanese plane is known as The Crow. Its owner was inspired by watching crows in flight to create this A-shaped airplane that will fly like a crow when it’s correctly put together.
The Crow design was the model airplane ever built out of rubber bands. It was also the first model airplane ever built in the history of Japan. Although this looks like a very modern design, it actually dates back to 1889, when the first Japanese airplanes were beginning to take flight.
The kit includes graphic assembly instructions (in English and Japanese). It’s made of balsa wood and Styrofoam, an ultra-light material that allows this model plane to fly smoothly and evenly.
It also has reverse-pitch propellers and rubber bands that you’ll use to join the plane’s various parts together.
